To everyone visiting – Hello there! I am the Principal of our homeschool education – I go by Mister Daddy. I take this role very seriously! I heard the words “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Prov 22:6)” and took it to heart. Since it’s been in my heart – I’ve been blessed by this privilege. To start, as Principal, the vision for our school is to provide a high quality education, but more important than that is to lead my family’s heart and life towards God. In the Bible, it says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. What is wisdom? Well, according to Webster’s dictionary, it means an accumulated philosophic or scientific learning or knowledge; ability to discern inner qualities and relationships or insight; thirdly, good sense or judgment. So, to have a firm foundation for homeschool education – God has to be first and foremost! I know Dads need to play an active role in the education of their children. In Ephesians 6:4, it says “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” This is not just confined to family devotions and bringing our kids to church, but also in overseeing their education. This really shouldn’t be left totally in the laps of moms. We need to lead and help! I believe a successful homeschool education begins with the head of the home!
